Eastern Counties South B.C.C Eastern Counties South B.C.C is an area of the British Caravanners Club which is a special interest section of the Camping & Caravanning Club. The area covered by Eastern Counties South is the Counties of Essex & Hertfordshire. At Eastern Counties South we hold weekend meets, 5 day meets and holiday meets. Our meets run from March until November. For 2012 we are holding holiday meets at Hooks Farm Maldon Essex and Little Clacton Essex. Once again our F.O.L. is to be held at the The Stag PH, Little Easton. This years F.O.L will incorporate a Harvest Festival. All our meets are of an informal nature, although there is normally a programme the rule is you join in or pass as you see fit. Our meets are only open to members of the Camping & Caravanning Club and are open to all unit types. As with all sections and groups within the Camping & Caravanning Club, Eastern Counties South is a family friendly section and families are assured of a warm welcome. We are always keen to welcome members new to rally camping, help and advice is always available. As a rule there is no need to book for meets, although there may be occasions if space is limited that booking would be necessary. As most of our meet are at limited facility location own sanitation is essential. Go to the programme page for a full list of meets, and visit our sites page for site information. Visit our Gallery page and click on the thumbnails to bring up a full image. As counties, both Essex and Hertfordshire are so underrated. Some of our meet are within easy reach of, or are at coastal locations. Essex has some of the most beautiful windswept salt marshes to be found anywhere, and is a haven for bird watchers. Small clapperboard villages dot the county. Hertfordshire although mainly arable has small picturesque villages, rolling hills, woods and rivers. As it says on the website; unwind in miles of open countryside without the hassle of travelling for hours to get there. Hertfordshire is on London's doorstep but its picturesque villages, hedgerows and open fields seem to belong to a bygone age. Both counties are hosting special events in 2012, Mountain Biking at Hadleigh Farm Essex and Canoe Slalom at the Lee Valley White Water Centre Hertfordshire. Lee Valley White Water Centre, as its name suggests, is part of the Lee Valley Regional Park which stretches along the Lee Valley from East London to Ware in Hertfordshire.
